The words return in the hardcover Absolute edition. But, wait, something else is missing: Tatjana Wood's color art! It's been replaced with something that strives for realism, and I guess is successful in that regard, but it's bland, anonymous, and forgettable.

Due to a production error, the words are missing from page 24 in the most recent softcover edition.

Page 22 of SWAMP THING #24 ends with these words: "I want to be alive, and grow, and rise up..." The thought gets completed on page 23: "...and meet the sun." It's an important moment: Swamp Thing embracing his plant self, and plants need sunlight. Scientifically accurate and thematically resonant!
