Secret of Skinwalker Ranch cast member Thomas Winterton, son of Utah State Sen. Ronald Winterton, posted a Facebook "URGENT" plea to block a drilling application. He asserts it will forever destroy the opportunity to study purported unique & unexplainable phenomena. www.facebook.com/thomas.winte...
Thomas Winterton's Facebook post states in part, "URGENT! To all our fans who follow our investigation at #SkinwalkerRanch, we are asking for your help. This is a picture of a letter we received informing us that there is an application for a new oil/gas well. This specific well will be located on the property adjacent to Skinwalker Ranch. Most concerning, the exact location of this well is literally less than 150' from the anomaly in the mesa. If this well is allowed to move forward, it will forever destroy the opportunity we have to study the unique and unexplainable phenomena occurring in the mesa. It will introduce noise, vibrations, and a lot of artificial light to the entire surrounding area. This will seriously jeopardize our ability to study many of the anomalies on the ENTIRE ranch. These oil wells are horizontal wells, and can literally be drilled miles away. This well could be moved farther away from the ranch and still allow for the oil well to be functional. The same cannot be said for the investigation at the ranch. We are asking all who follow our investigation to take 5 minutes and call or email Uintah County Economic Development Office and RESPECTFULLY demand they deny this conditional use permit."

The Aug. 12, 1942, edition of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported William Dudley Pelley was sentenced to 15 years in prison on sedition charges. He would serve several years before being paroled in 1950.

If Bethurum's bit was the idea of an attractive alien, it eluded the FBI. Its records indicate Valor, a magazine operated by William Dudley Pelley, had an apparent financial stake and interest in organizing and promoting Bethurum speaking engagements in 1954. That was surmised from information provided to the Bureau by Thomas Eickhoff, an Ohio man informing the Cincinnati Field Office of activities surrounding Bethurum. Eickhoff indicated George Hunt Williamson, who also described himself as a contactee, and another man known as Mr. Manspeaker, were handling details of organizing and advertising a Bethurum event in Cincinnati. Both men were described as being involved with Valor. The event stood to potentially raise thousands of dollars in ticket sales.

Update Sep. 26, 2025: After providing FBI documentation as cited in this article of its apparent involvement in the execution of search warrants in November 2022, the Bureau again issued a response indicating it was unable to identify records responsive to "Dreamland Resort" that are subject to the FOIPA. Expanding Frontiers Research subsequently appealed the action. The Department of Justice Office of Information Policy, the appeal authority for the FBI, recently responded it affirmed FBI action. As suggested above, that does not necessarily mean such records do not exist or that records responsive to investigations of Joerg Arnu necessarily contain the term "Dreamland Resort."

Just recently, prior to receiving the disc, EFR inquired about the status of the appeal & request. FBI advised estimated completion date was in 2028. It is unclear if more "interim" releases will ensue. EFR will probably again appeal withheld records. Image below is latest response letter. 5/end

An initial review of Esalen records most recently posted & provided to EFR, as shown below, suggest more records were reviewed & redactions were removed, perhaps as a result of the EFR appeal. EFR continues to examine the material. 4/x

FBI provided responsive records, including a response in Dec 2024. EFR appealed withheld & redacted material in Jan 2025. In May 2025, the appeal was remanded in part for EFR FOIPA number 1583425-000. 2/x

FBI advises EFR no additional records responsive to Truman Bethurum & subject to the FOIPA were located than those already released, as described in the above article.
A Sep. 12, 2025, FBI response to an EFR follow-up FOIA request on purported UFO contactee Truman Bethurum states in part, "Records regarding your subject were previously reviewed and released to you pursuant to the FOIPA. An additional search was conducted for main and reference entity records, and no additional records subject to the FOIPA were located."

SEAN KIRKPATRICK: If Luna and her “Lunatics” want to continue to parade charlatans and grifters in front of an audience to satisfy her need for playhouse politics, then the American people should demand accountability of all the wasted taxpayer money and Congressional time she has derailed from more serious issues facing this country. Clearly she has been working quietly with these pseudo scientists and attention seekers to script a hearing and then launch it as a surprise onto the world, possibly to distract or more likely because that’s all she is qualified to do. In the face of international crises, where is the accountability? Where is DOGE when there is a legitimate target of fraud waste and abuse in Congress? The National Archives categorizes FOIA requests by number of responsive pages to be processed. Tier 1, over 50 pages but under 700, is currently projected to take 39 months. Some requests take longer so we often reduce the scope to 50 pages. www.expandingfrontiersresearch.org/post/fbi-rec...
Records processed by NARA under the Freedom of Information Act may be viewed at no charge at its facility in College Park, MD. An appointment is required. "Reproductions," or copies, may be ordered in pdf, disc, and hard copy. The current fee for a reproduction is 80 cents per page, and that applies to a pdf delivered electronically. The National Archives and Records Administration does not accept requests for fee waivers, as fees are deemed reasonable through legislation and apply only to creating reproductions, not processing.
