dragon age veilguard was a disappointment in every category for me, but that doesn’t mean the team didn’t do their best work with what they had. i think if it was any game except dragon age, it would’ve been far better received—and would have a shot at continuing into its own series.

the downfall of the DA franchise started when EA ran scared from DA2 and canceled the additional DLC. DAI winning goty hurt whatever chances the series could’ve had going forward imho because EA will always learn the wrong lessons.
Games like Veilguard do not "fail" because of the devs working on them. They fail because corporate interference forces studios to chase trends so that CEOs like EA's Andrew Wilson can net $25M a year.
