Day 5 post hysterectomy and I've finally had a poo at 2 am (albeit small). I'm now walking around quite normally rather than like I've been hit by a bus and apart from the (happy) event at 2 am I'm sleeping much better! Huzzah.

Yes plus some things were fused to my bowel so they had to unstick them. There's a posh word for the procedure but I've forgotten it as I was on morphine when being told.
