@mistericarus.bsky.social I know you definitely mentioned both these issues in the streams I watched (and they were big sticking points for me too) so I'm happy to hear that Beyond Sunset has turned down enemy death audio and remixed the weapon audio to make your stuff sound meaner

Texnoplasm is legit. Looks at first like a more brawler-heavy Ultrakill but it has its own completely unique flow and also I'm better at it, slightly, so I'm biased to like it more. Figuring out the air combo tech and how to extend them with mid-air kicks and quickdraws is so rewarding

This game got delayed pretty significantly, too! There's been some talk about mismanagement inside the studio though I haven't combed through anything to find specifics

As someone who still largely enjoys a lot of the entries in the VHS series, the last one (Beyond) really did not gel with me, a curtain jerk Peter Jackson style short with some great animatronics aside. However, you tell me you got the Cheddar Goblin guy on board and yeah, I'll be there this year
