Thread about the payment processor bs going on and my experience of it as of writing:
- 17 total calls, 14 to mastercard, 3 to visa.
- I lost track of how much time I wasted being put on hold or waiting for a queue.
- I made most of my calls to mastercard because I myself am their customer.

It's nice to see confirmation that all of this shit was at the end of the day, for big tech, meanwhile everyone else is screwed no matter what they chose to do about this, either pay a hefty fine for not complying, or comply and pay fees for verifications.
Newgrounds' approach to verifying age is interesting and transparent.

It's nice to see confirmation that all of this shit was at the end of the day, for big tech, meanwhile everyone else is screwed no matter what they chose to do about this, either pay a hefty fine for not complying, or comply and pay fees for verifications.
I find it interesting that this is the first time I see anyone mention that these policies are actually breaking laws, nonetheless I appreciate mentioning specifically which ones, I'll try to bring these up in my next round of calls.
