I just backed ZX Spectrum Next Issue 3 on @kickstarter.com www.kickstarter.com/projects/spe...

Now, since I have in the past worked with some of those involved in one way or another (on the Sinclair QL side of things), it'll be interesting to get this running some of my own software releases on it!

It's not a truck, but I'm filing this in the same series...

1969 Plymouth GTX, 7.2L V8, first imported here in the UK in 2016, last sold on in 2020.

Easily beats the modern Mustangs/Challengers see here.

I *think* it managed the 50yds to the end of the road on the first gallon, but I'm not sure.

Well, would you look at that - someone went and put a Tree in the Road...

However, I can confidently say that Project Bus rocks!
And rolls, especially with a trailer hooked up.

Serendipitous - someone donated this to my company's charity shop side of things. My wife spotted it when unpacking/sorting stuff. It's one of my better birthday pressies today!

Genuine @volvotrucks.bsky.social merch, usually unobtainium in the UK!

Spotted near Grindon, Stockton-on-Tees, screwed to a dead tree trunk. Interesting campaigning...

How many planks could we get from that log?

There's a tree by my driveway, and it drips sap onto my car.

Early Friday morning, a bird dropped an egg on the roof.

At work that day, a bag of self-raising flour burst and dusted the car park.

No cakes appeared. What's missing?

EDIT: no butter, that's the reason!

RE-EDIT: Nope. Still no cake.

Going to go out on a limb here, but is "Allen Carr's* Easy Way to Quit Smoking" basically this:

"Quit smoking, or the only thing you will see on Netflix and Prime will be Alan Carr* shows... (Updated: now includes Apple TV)"

*yes, I know.

I still have a Xitter account (web only, no {cr}app). It defaults to my profile cos just a few minutes scrolling gives me the irrits in a major way.

Except I now miss stuff from Japanese friends who only have Xitter accounts, so I catch up on the feeds, only to get the irrits again.

IRRITS!! 👊😠

Me: Great! What's the budget for finally covering the bare concrete section in the break room?

Boss: Here are the offcuts.

Me: I'll get started.

We all love small electric cars, right? In cities, especially Europe & Asia where we have streets an F150 would block wall-to-wall...

Here's a startup from Hiroshima, Japan, which just announced what looks like an Optimised Citroën Ami:

Ah, an early night, catching up on lost sleep.

At this rate, I'll have the 80's all caught up in a couple of years - looking forward to starting catching up on the 90's "Blur vs Oasis" Britpop years by maybe 2028, maybe 2030.

A great vid from elliotev.bsky.social

If this came to the UK, I may break that "My next car will be an Aptera" rule... Still, even if a UK Aptera arrives, I'm unlikely to ever meet Elliot at the lights in it for a race-off with his SC01, though we did mention it a while ago...
