I’ll never understand how a study like this gets through peer review. While GLP-1RA & SGLT2i meds are pretty amazing, they can’t decrease risk for dementia the moment you get a prescription. That’s a clear signal that the groups are different at baseline. #medsky

Write a letter asking to see the Kaplan-Meier curves. I bet youll see too early separation indicating confounding. Like this study showing colon cancer miraculously decreases within 30 days of a prescription of GLP1s (again, same methods basically and same population)
