Of course it will. That's half the point.

Our housing policy is decided by people who already own multiple houses, so of course they won't make houses affordable, they'll do the opposite.

This is, at best a token gesture and, at worst, intentionally making the problem worse.

Do you know where I could find the talks from any of the other speakers?

In the zoom session they all said they were being recorded, but I can't find them anywhere to watch.

Where can we watch the recordings? The sessions all said "this session is being recorded" on zoom but I've only found one from the other society, I can't find most of them anywhere.

A registration discount for low and middle income countries doesn't solve the flights, accommodation, or visas.

And a token effort to make a conference "accessible" while making international travel effectively mandatory is not very helpful.

"Back to normal" was a terrible idea; normal was awful.

I wish the science world hadn't gone back to in person conference as soon as the pandemic was "over".

We really don't need to transport hundreds of people to the other side of the planet to have a conversation.

The contributors at on line only events were a lot more diverse too…
