this show is so fucking messy and complicated dude but at least their music is good. i just. i wish we got better rep and that half of it didnt feel... fanservicy?? losin' streak was, imo, GREAT fanservice for that character. not.. some of the shots in poison...

tldr; i like seeing hypersexual sa victims rep and while i like the character itself- i do not like how the SHOW treats his trauma and uses him as a catalyst for the antagonists SO OFTEN.

i understand its supposed to be uncomfortable to watch but.. ANYONE ELSE PLS?? the amount of times hes been used to show off why the villains are rlly bad people is :// like why do they yell at ch//rlie and maybe toss the others around and then straight up beat the other guy to death IDK IDK IDK

like. i am totally victim of taking my guy and putting them through hell but. it just feels. in poor taste. i rlly thought the 2nd season was diff bc their writing seemed to improve a LOT from criticism and then they... beat tf out of him again

HOWEVER...... he is also the character who's abuse past AND present is featured on screen the most. and while i get that its an adult show, when ur hypersexual sa victim is the one who is constantly showed getting raped and assaulted physically and put in a bunch of bad situations sm.... idk......

also giving him someone that loves him for who he is who also happens to find him attractive? A+ big fan of that always. while he is the devil in the show that is often shown as most likely of being redeemed but also cant dig himself out of the hole he keeps digging. its GOOD its FRUSTRATING! luv it

but is it GOOD rep? ....ehhh..

as somebody with a character who is hypersexual and constantly subjects himself to more abuse as a trauma response i think the way they portray his self image and how he just perceives everything and everyone pretty well!

first off, i don't have any problem with how HE as a character handles his own trauma. i think its rlly nice and connecting to see a sexual abuse victim have a hypersexual response and sort of dig themselves deeper into bad coping mechanisms bc its a very real thing and its nice to have that rep-
