I vastly prefer GKC's over a code in a box or putting the info that it's a download disc at the back of the box where nobody looks.

All that said, they are still just kind of... pointless.
If the game is digital then I might as well just buy it on the eshop.

Playing Steam games on my TV would be nice, but not nice enough to justify buying a new system.

Still, like the Deck I guess the Cube will have its comfortable niche and maybe I'll come around to in a couple of years.

Oh yeah, and I found a shiny Ekans on my second day playing. I think this is the second time I've found a legitimate shiny in the main story of a Pokemon game so that certainly made me happy.

But like... Legends Arceus had a combat system that was pretty snappy and also had a decent amount of strategy. I honestly would've rather seen them improve on that system instead of building a new one.

But whatever, the Z-A combat works.

One advantage with real-time systems is that they make combat feel very quick and snappy. This is something I hope they learn from and apply to generation 10 because dear god, the combat in SV was slow.

I have mixed feelings about the combat system. The problem with these types of real-time combat systems is that they often ends up becoming a bit of a mess. In ZA one-on-one fights with trainers are kind of mindless.

On the other hand, I feel like the combat works pretty well in Rogue Mega battles.

Honestly, not a bad haul this NextFest. I found some good stuff.

I like NextFest because I get to hang out with friends and try all kinds of games. And even if you don't find gold, at least it tends to be interesting.

I'd say this is one of the best games I played this NextFest, but they are kind of cheating. This game was finished like 10 years ago so comparing it to other games here to feels a bit unfair.

Oh well, I still really like it and I'm probably gonna pick this one up later.
