Finished knitting my first pair of socks! I’m really happy with them as a first attempt. They fit comfortably and I had fun making them. I can tell my knitting improved subtly between the one I finished a couple months ago and the one I finished last night!

Years ago when I was taking an Arabic class at the local community college, we started with this book, Alif Baa. I don’t have my copy handy, but I remember it doing a good job of showing the different forms of each letter in different places in a word, not just isolated.

I’m finally reading To Shape a Dragon’s Breath by Moniquill Blackgoose, and I’m enjoying it so much! I’m 2/3rds through and just got to a big epiphany the main character has, and I’m just bursting with excitement over it. I had to stop reading to tell Mike about it. 🤣

Took me a while at the hardware store yesterday, but I picked paint colors! The light blue is the main wall color, the darker blue is the accent wall, and the magenta is the door and closet sliders. The darker blue in person is deeper than the online swatch.

Just got my new mug from @placecalledbliss.bsky.social and it's so pretty! The handle feels like it was made for my hand. And that glaze! It makes me think of swirling ocean waves, the way the different variations of blue and blue-green shift into each other. 😍

Happier topic, now that I'm done panicking over meds for tonight. I finished my new computer! I decided to have a little fun with RGB LEDs, since the case I picked for good airflow lends itself well to it. I put a vinyl decal on the glass side panel for an etched frosted glass look.
