City officials say snow route parking restrictions are expected to be required Saturday night from a snow storm expected to hit Evanston starting Saturday morning. Public Services Bureau Chief Noel Rodriguez says the private weather service used by the city is predicting a little less than seven inches of snow from the storm -- with most of it falling Saturday afternoon and evening. City parking garages will be open for residents who need to get their cars off the street starting Friday afternoon, Rodriguez says. He adds that parking restrictions may be needed on residential streets on Monday and Tuesday. Official parking restrictions have not been issued yet and will be announced later, assuming the storm develops as expected.
