Lover of walking and biking, the Northwest, thoughtful policy, parking reform, climate action, and gueuze. Dad. Opinions are my own.
How is this framed not as “Trump uses $20 billion in taxpayer funding to interfere in a foreign election”?

New to middle school parenting.

It’s impressive that kids are required to wear three pairs of shoes, three tops and three bottoms. The Big Clothing Lobby must have gotten to them.

On a 5-0 city council vote Monday, West Linn became Oregon’s 18th city to repeal costly parking mandates.

Three others directly apply state standards, meaning we have 21 jurisdictions with no mandates - enough to go celebrate at a microbrewery!

More than 2 million Oregonians are free of mandates

If "auto-driving" is fine automatically driving 14 MPH over the speed limit, that feels reckless.

Is there no legal argument that letting cruise control work at way above the speed limit is a dangerous product that fosters dangerous lawbreaking?

Good news. Here’s to bold efforts to make cities not dominated by speeding traffic.

The @washingtonpost.com should reflect on this headline.

There’s really no *debating* (from slavery to the 3/5the compromise to… oh so much) the facts of country’s racism.

More accurate:

“Haley sparks a reckoning: can Americans ignore the facts of our roots in racism?”

Fun days. The bird site is now blocking posting about abortion in Oregon.

Glad to be here.

Just a reminder: the one direct route for me to walk to lots of things in South Salem is notably harmful to my hearing.
