My initial post was inspired by a reference that I just saw to the war torn city of Portland, Oregon! Just wild.

I’ve written for The Conversation and have been told by their editors a few times that my drafts have too much “opinion.” This piece suggests that policy is applied selectively. Oof. I’m sorry.
