Do diets cause eating disorders?

I've seen the claim made many times online, so I looked into it. Surprisingly, best evidence seems to show that if anything, diets REDUCE the risk of eating disorders.

Do Diets Cause Eating Disorders?
Despite the common claims, the answer is probably not.

Out today: The Oxford Handbook of Mesolithic Europe with contributions by brilliant mesolithic specialists from across Europe.
Solid and inspired research.
The beautiful cover by Tom Björklund captures the human scale of the past - a fundamental theme for the book.

The @bmj.com is often a little mischievous in its news section, with bold statements and facts in large letters, but not always with links to the source.

Another reminder:

Respiratory infections spread mainly through the air. That’s why they affect the lungs.

Masks, worn correctly and consistently, reduce the spread of respiratory infections.

Respirators work better than masks.

Washing hands isn’t wrong, but it won’t stop airborne transmission.

I honestly believe all LLM results should come with a disclaimer reminding people that the thing doesn’t (and absolutely cannot) know any facts or do any reasoning; it is simply designed to *sound* like it knows facts and frequently sweeps some up accidentally in the process.
I really think many if not most of the LLM fail cases are people trying to use it as a search engine. It is the opposite of a search engine.
