The visit reaffirmed the commitment of both sides to further strengthening the EU–Central Asia dialogue and advancing shared priorities within the framework of the #EU Strategy for #CentralAsia.

The discussions focused on boosting EU–Kazakhstan cooperation on regional connectivity, green transformation and sustainable development, including the Trans-Caspian route, water management, climate action and human rights.

During the visit, EUSR met with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, government officials, representatives of KazISS, as well as representatives of international organizations and ambassadors, including from EU MS and other like-minded countries.

Organised within the Team Europe Initiative, the visit offered a first-hand look at how Lithuania, as a strong EU performer in digital development, has been building its digital ecosystem.

Chaired by PM Olzhas Bektenov, the session brought together #EU Ambassadors, European businesses and business associations, as well as representatives of the Government of #Kazakhstan and the Kazakh business community for an exchange on ongoing opportunities and challenges.
