The APEX Theatre 20 cast of RENT was invited to sing Seasons of Love for the anniversary of Nicholas West. This was around 2013-14 I believe. We did that show first as a concert at our 50 seat theatre and later moved it to Liberty Hall for a full production.

If you've followed any of my social media, you've seen this Summer 2022 vigil by the former youth group East Texas Trans Youth. They organized this vigil to remember queers lost to violence and call our allies to action. They met at the Nicholas West memorial stone in Bergfeld Park.

In 2018, we counter protested an appearance of Joe Dallas' at our local mega church Green Acres. Rest in peace to my friend Holly (far left) who passed away last year. She was an incredible mama bear and proud democrat.
