I’ve heard this loud and clear from my constituents, too. They want a real bipartisan agreement to reopen the government and protect their healthcare.

I assume all of us that have been fighting to protect our constituents from soaring healthcare costs will vote against this. (2/2)

I got this useful bon mot from a middle school teacher recently.

In response to, “I DONT UNDERSTAND,” he calmly said, “okay what steps have you taken to understand?”

And that’s when I realized that a lot of folks have no steps.

We use handheld sharpeners at home ourselves! But I can appreciate why the school needs more efficient sharpening. There is a whole system to swap out dull pencils & grab new ones from the sharp bin, apparently. My own kiddo struggles with mechanical pencils - the lead breaks or falls out a lot.

My 3rd grader’s public school classes thus far have all used pencils with (electric) sharpeners in the classroom.
