New scary experience with our Tesla: suddenly braking! We had a canoe on top, which perhaps confused it into thinking there was something on the road ahead. After the 2nd time, we looked up how to turn that off.

The canoeing in the Minnesota Boundary Waters was fun, though!

Debbie and I are driving across country, now in Duluth. From here, it's canoeing the boundary waters, then through Ontario and Quebec to Maine for a big family reunion. Haven't decided the full return trip. Back in Seattle in mid September.

First day in Sydney, AU, we took a long walk along the shore with big crashing waves and nice beaches. This evening we saw hundreds of flying foxes.

I had a wonderful birthday. Debbie took me put-put golfing, out to dinner, then several friends came over for a surprise game night!

After we agreed no Valentine's gifts, Debbie had this quartet serenade us at our home! Two of them are fellow contra dancers

I'm looking to get a new computer for development. It could be a tower, since I already have monitors and a keyboard. Anybody have recent helpful experience or general advice?

I asked my Google assistant for the relative subscriber base for the various social media apps. I was amused at its pronunciation of "Bluesky" as Blue-ess-skee. Makes it sound Russian!
