Remember coming home from being picked up at school and seeing this image on the news with my parents. Still jarring all these years later.

The POTUS held a military parade funded by tax payers to the tune of $250m the very day Melissa Hortman was assassinated. The right was largely silent, the president refused to put flags at half mast. The pearl clutching from these people is ironic to say the least. Like spare the absolute bullshit.
