When I was 12 years old, I wrote to @stephenking.bsky.social telling him that I wanted to be a writer just like him. I didn't become a novelist, but I do horrify readers with medical history. Every time I write a book, I send him a copy hoping, as I did as a child, that he may someday see it.

Blaring music from a phone or portable radio in shared public space (often confined public transport) is not something to defend. It’s a symptom of our shallow, selfishly individual capitalist culture. Nobody should feel entitled to dominate space & infringe on others. Not a hill to die on comrades.
