Unfortunately, so much of what indie creators sell/offer are non-essentials that are first on the chopping block when people's budgets get tighter. My shop sales are down for a few reasons, but consumer anxiety about the economy is part of it.
Lot of moving pieces I'm trying to get across, but basically, I think companies are going to feel the pinch this winter and take it out on the employees in the new year. Consumers do not feel confident for a good number of reasons moving into the new year.

I spend my lunch crying in my car. I have nightmares and panic attacks. And when I get home, I just stress eat.
I don’t have another job waiting but I know I can’t stay here any longer without risking my mental health.
