UVA received 3 letters from DOJ (2 on admissions, 1 on why DEI was not "eliminated" even though no board policy was adopted along those lines). They go to hire outside counsel but the state AG will only let them work with conservative lawyers, one of whom worked on project 2025!

Both are very good lawyers who are also conservative,and Farnaz worked on Project 2025. The third lawyer—the senior most lawyer of the three—Jonathan Blank, is a UVA alum and a moderate. Despite his seniority and the volume of work required, as wellas his knowledge of UVA, I was told he was not allowed to participate.
