Tax the rich, they actually love it!
NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

"hey Banville, you must be pretty happy-"

"Guess again, dickhead!"

They said that everyone except Banville was overjoyed to hear of Banville's good fortune.

Banville, however, dreaded nights of small talk at deplorable functions with €9 wine, poseurs, the loud, mispronounced canapés, and Boyne.

Chatting with a Croatian guy living in Ireland for years, he said “I juat can’t understand people voting for a party because their parents voted for them”.

When will this country wake up?

Is €28 billion enough? Maybe they need to feel it in their pockets to care.
ireland is way off track for its EU climate targets for 2030! we're gonna have to pay €28 BILLION in fines because we promised to cut pollution and then decided to buy loads of gas instead! that money could insulate people's homes, cut bills, cut pollution and cut fuel imports! it would create jobs!

Jailed for a mere 2.5 years for grooming (what he thought was) a 9 year old girl, sending her videos of herself masturbating, telling her he wanted to take her away overnight. Making upskirting videos, collecting child sex abuse images.

Guess who the judge is. Go on, just guess.

I do not care if a state construction company will take many years to come to fruition. We are in this position because decisions are made in terms of 5 year electoral cycles. We need to start solving the housing crises our kids will be facing 15/20/30 years from now. #spéirgorm
🗣️ "We need a state construction company," says People Before Profit–Solidarity TD Richard Boyd Barrett.
"How many years would it take to set that up?" asks guest host Fionnán Sheahan.

For those who don't know
Fine Gael is a member of the EPP in Europe.
They may be centrist in Ireland but they vote right in Europe.
The centre-right – the EPP – in the EU Parliament is about to vote with the far-right to dismantle rules making businesses check and report their supply chains for human rights abuses or environmental destruction

They will side with deeply illiberal politicians to boost company profits
