like it’s still fun enough but the pedestal it got placed upon is so grossly unearned amidst titles like automata or DMC5

but obviously the main character being Temu 2B did a ton of the heavy lifting in terms of its reception so all it really ever needed to succeed was a degree of passable combat

it’s not that surprising bc the game has firmly average to below average combat with enemies having some of the worst telegraphing i’ve dealt with

in addition to their attack strings having vague finishers so you’re left eating a hit after thinking it’s your turn when you do a perfect parry/dodge

godspeed to all the baby tenno out there trying to macrodose the entire game within the next week
