Once the house is built it generates little or no income. Productivity investments generates more income.

That is true, but housing cost are eating households savings and limiting productivity. Public housing can regulate prices fall speed and compensation for low income families could be offered.

Not really. You end up paying high property taxes. You will have limited options if you want to move and will affect young people. Also having all our money in houses limits the productivity of Canada, no money to invest in businesses.

Yes, we need to increase the supply . Good idea to improve construction tech locally!! Fight NIMBY and public housing could accelerate the process.
