After I had given the exam, I had a little time to kill. It was raining as well. I went to a nearby small park which had many roses.

Wish I had taken more pics because the colors were stunning and unique. Does anyone know what the name of this one is?

“What a desolate place would be a world without a flower! It would be a face without a smile, a feast without a welcome.” ~ A.J. Balfour

'Summer Blues' Delphinium. This variety only grows 15" tall. Butterflies, hummingbirds & bees love it.🌱

🌱 Fragrant lilies brighten long workdays at the farm.

Someday, these too will be discovered abandoned - and someone might wonder, “who planted these invasive yellow lilies, and what were their lives like...?”

Another interesting thing about 2017 OF201 is that it's big...relatively speaking. It's nearly 1/3 the size of Pluto, potentially large enough to qualify as a dwarf planet -- and there are probably dozens of others like it hidden out there in the dark. 🧪

Here's Begonia 'Lana', a Cane-like Superba type of hybrid Begonia with olive green & grayish serrated angel wing leaves. Blooms: profuse, rose-pinkish red. Origin: Peter P. Lee, CA, 1957. Published: 1973. This begonia makes a great house plant, easy care. Does well in greenhouse, too. 🌱 #begonias

I had the honor of illustrating the Folio Society's illustrated edition Madeline Miller's "Circe," a book that is very dear to me and has been a favorite of mine since it came out. Feels a bit surreal, tbh 👀
