Sad news today. Without Short Cuts, I would never have started making audio. They gave me support, skills, opportunity, an audience. I'm off to the Audio Production Awards tonight because of two pieces I made for Short Cuts. Will be nice to raise a glass and give thanks
After 12 years on the radio, @josielong.bsky.social's Short Cuts will have its last series on BBC Radio 4 this winter.

If you're in #Cork city mañana, St. Peter's theatre is hosting a part of the Cork Film Festival.
At 12:00, Mary's latest and possibly last piece of major work for Grey Heron Media will be shown - it's about the Cork Migrant Centre and the people who make it special.
Free entry.

Clearing up parents' house. Sketchbook from 2005 found. Friend's idea for a website for, and written by, women to help them while travelling.
Logo for business that never existed. They may have been drunk when they gave me the brief - "a bra covering the planet".

Just watched Poor Things… It's been years since I last read the book (my copy isn't in my possession any longer), and I don't recall quite as much sex in the book. Find myself disappointed by the lack of Scotland and Gray's illustrations.

A good counterpoint is www.poorthingsnovel.com and the AGA.

Seriously, 3,325,000 of you are still pretty damned shite at Photoshop...

I used Photoshop for the first time this year this evening, to edit a pic for our "Thanks for being at/helping with our wedding, like" card.
It's a nice feeling, using something that you spent 15 years of your life learning inside out.

When I'm feeling better I'll scan more recent examples of #urbansketching, but in the meantime here's a sketch from a few years ago. It's Boyle, in County Roscommon.

Oh!!
Almost forgot - Mary made this epic trawl through some of Ireland's culture that was broadcast this morning before we woke up... It's long - 50 minutes.
