Went to a plant sale this morning, scored a ton of plants at a great price, then stopped by my favourite coffee shop. Seconds before I walked in, I got a text from the coffee place wishing me a happy birthday (it's next week) + a code for a free drink. All very auspicious! ☕🪴 #friday #goodvibes

Yes, writing is a desk job, but sometimes I end up on a farm. 🌱 #haldimandcounty #holisticmanagement #regenerativefood

Cut some flowers for the table over Easter weekend. Enjoying the extra splash of colour on the mantle. #springtime #daffodils #ontario

So lovely to hear @namshine.bsky.social and @chantalbraganza.bsky.social in conversation at Type Books. Chantal's book is smart, beautiful and deeply moving—I've only got about 20 pages left and I can already tell it will be one of the best things I read this year. #storyofyourmother #toronto

Like many writers, I tend to be critical of myself and my achievements (or lack thereof) but sometimes I have to update my bio for a work event and I'm like, oh...this person sounds kind of good at her job? Going to try to lean into this energy. #amwriting #books

I don't usually lust after material things but I will be thinking about these giant swans at the Hamilton Antique Mall for weeks, if not months #hamont #swans

More book events should feature Scaachi Koul roasting @elamin.bsky.social in front of hundreds of people. A lovely evening at my favourite library. #books #nonfiction #suckerpunch #toronto

This guy probably thinks his car is pretty cool but my teenage daughter and her friends took photos of it because they couldn't get over how ugly it is. Her text to me: "Look at it, it's a brick on wheels but in NEON BLUE, ewwww!" #cybertruck #gross

Lest you think it was all about TS: we spent a good amount of time in the woods and/or by the ocean (and eating sushi). 🍣

I don't know how to explain this but somehow I ended up with $15 seats to night one of the #ErasTourVancouver, found a cheap flight and turned it into a four day adventure with my 13yo daughter, my sister, my cousin and a bunch of our family in BC. #taylorswift #family #whatislife

We went—a lovely, simple memorial with a lot of interesting epitaphs as well as nameless markers for those who were never identified. #halifax
