Yeah. I really enjoyed gundam x quite a bit. Most people seem to hate it though.

That's awesome they are split up like that. I wish more of them were like that.
For me, I usually cut out each one and use a small piece of tape, tape it to the gunpla, and then rub it on. That works well for getting them in the right place and holding it there.
I've never used water.

Ya know, this is something I'd love to do in like a year....by then I might be comfortable doing that. Sadly, finding photographers anymore seems to be a problem. at least ones I'd trust being that vulnerable around. Way too many creeps in the community :/
