Edinburgh city archives are closing the public access search room on Fri 27 June for the rest of 2025. They will be open between Tues 20 May and Thu 26 June. Researchers are asked to book visits during these 5 weeks.

This is so reminiscent of the mid-nineteenth century brawl over who was to sculpt the Wellington monument...lots of inflated egos amongst the commissioners. Perhaps the CRM Society needs to find trustees that aren't so wrapped up in their own self-importance?
