As a teacher, the weekends are so important for rejuvenation—for us and for students. My morning walks are changing, and both the beauty and the relaxing sounds of leaves below my feet and leaves rustling on trees is a welcome change. #fall

Reading about any kind of artist’s take on the creative process is one of my favorite things EVER, and it influences my teaching, writing, and curriculum design. Finishing Jeff Tweedy’s book right after landing and pulling up at O’Hare seems wildly appropriate. #creativeprocess

@kareemabduljabaar.bsky.social’s books inspire me and fill sizable and important holes in my history education.

“I try to concentrate on the road beneath my feet, on what I can do right now, right here, to alleviate suffering and promote joy.”

Some of my freshmen chose to do adult coloring pages after their quiz today and while waiting for others to finish. It gives them a nice brain break, but it is also known to be calming to the nervous system. #highschool #EduSky

It’s a chai, patio, and great book type of morning! I’m halfway through, and I know this will be a back-to-back 2x read. The first time through is for the “big picture”; the second time is to implement. #edbranding @drrenaebryant.bsky.social @lynettewhitesocial.bsky.social @burgessdave.bsky.social

My new library book came in! As a kid, I was more into watching the Dream Team players than Kareem, but as an adult, I have loved—and learned from—multiple of his books. #AlwaysLearning

The busy “back at it” feel of the week after spring break is over: hello weekend! The rain took a little break, and it’s so nice to see signs of spring on the pup’s and my walk! (Of course, I’m still lesson planning in my head…) #teacherlife
