I occasionally workout with a guy who was a AAA catcher for 6 years before giving up on his dream. Up close, just an insane athlete compared to the average guy. He's in his early 40's & sets an impressive standard

But any one of those guys who made it are not the issue. It's the nearly guys who were 4 star high school players who never made it due to being undersized

Because I am an old man near Philly, I remember guys saying, "what if Allen Iverson had played soccer?" I would respond that A.I. chose the right sport, the problem was the other 5'10" dudes who played at Delaware & Holy Cross who became YMCA hardcourt men's league legends & not legit soccer stars.
