I watched a (my) Nalgene bounce 150’ feet down the rocks in Garden of the Gods (Colorado) and it was unscathed. A hydro would have been trash.

Hydroflask, yeti, and Stanley definitely took the mainstream gym-goer spot but most climbers and backpackers I know are still all in on the Nalgene (me included). Losing/breaking a Nalgene costs $5, doing the same with a hydro costs $45.

I have the opposite problem. I feel better than I have in 20 years, but I look like mud-flaps off a 50’ trailer.
