By multiple media formats do you mean like a photo and a gif on the same tweet? Or >1 photo on the same tweet? Because I have many tweets with >1 photo on them.
Do you also keep threaded tweets together? And can you pick and choose which tweets/threads to bring over? If so, I am very interested!

Yup. A lot of people have nice cameras and still take rubbish photos lol. Or take photos that should be good but are ruined by basic composition errors (wonky horizon, I’m looking at you!). Still, if they enjoy taking said photos then I’m not going to rain on their parade.

Mr S says hello, btw 😸

Me too! We have a fair few over here 😁
I even have a family of Babblers that come to my yard at my new house, as well as Apostlebirds. I got overly excited when they first came to visit!

Will check HANZAB (Aus bird bible) when back in the office next week.

I can’t remember if the genetics holds up (surely someone’s tested it by now), but if I recall correctly Apostles and WW Choughs got put together into Corcoracidae because of their cooperative breeding and identical nest-building. They look nothing like each other but behave the same.

Just our choughs here in Aus. The N Hemisphere choughs are totally different. Classic “let’s name all these new species after things they vaguely resemble from the UK”.

They are vaguely reminiscent of our Apostlebirds, who are also cooperative breeders. Though Apostlebirds are almost monotypic, sharing their family with only one other species, the White-winged Chough (they both make little mud cup nests).

Here in Aus (I’m my part anyway, we have so many variable seasons here), when we have a warm period around early sept followed by more cold we call it False Spring.
I’m not sure I’ve noticed anything specific between hot and cold times, but I’ll be keeping an eye out for it now.

I’m so glad this list exists!!! Though I am sad (but not surprised) that there are scrapers over here.

Ditto. Re pottery (and life in general) I love moved house twice in the last year (inc moving cities), started a new job, and had a major surgery on my elbow. So haven’t really been up to much 😩 life has bern chaos and very out of whack.

I’ve also been lurking over there but it’s time to bail. I never actually see any relevant people or content any more and everyone seems to be over here anyway! Just need to find all my peeps again.

Extra oooooooo!!!

I need to build my kiln a little shed so it’s safe outside, then I can fire it at my new place.
September 28, 2024 at 1:18 AM
Ooooooooo!
September 28, 2024 at 1:17 AM
Very true! This particular bird was from a few years ago, so hopefully now has a partner and juvies!
September 26, 2024 at 12:29 PM
I think this one was actually a juvie, but yes to the naso! 😸

I’ve been needing to run #BorbOfTheYear, but Twitter is basically dead so I’ve been holding off. I need to move over here properly and now that there’s a poll option here I can do ridiculous things again!
September 26, 2024 at 1:20 AM
*Excellent bracket, even 🙄
September 25, 2024 at 5:04 AM
Ahh! I was wondering how to do polls over here.
Excbracket btw
