It’s worth mentioning that said brother was 42, fit/healthy, ran multiple marathons per year when he was diagnosed w/ stage 4 prostate cancer.
My dad was a healthy72yo skier when dx with amyloidosis after a cardiac pre-op screen for carpal tunnel surgery.
Shit even happens to healthy people.

That’s the reason that my three oldest kids took it and passed it freshman year to get it out of the way, while other kids in the same district were seniors and on their 5th or 6th attempts.

They do! Pretty sure my fifth grader would wipe the floor with our president in a friendly match of constitutional trivia. And it is reinforced all through their schooling, culminating in the citizenship exam.
