Last year, two people I care deeply about died right around the holidays (12/19 and 1/4). It occurred to me in therapy last night that every holiday season is going to be extra sad for me, forever.

In my dreams over the last months, I've moved into an apartment and have had various encounters with my neighbors. Last night, I realized I could rearrange the furniture and convert the living room to a bedroom, where it's darker and quieter.
