None of these federal workforce executive orders are designed to help the American People. They are designed to stoke fear, sow chaos, and get experts who would otherwise push back on harmful policy to quit their jobs or be fired.

Ask me how I know.

Trump set the TikTok ban in motion

Congress passed legislation

Biden signs legislation

SCOTUS upholds ban

Biden says his administration wouldn’t enforce the law, leaving room for TikTok to stay open

TikTok shuts down anyway

Trump tweets

TikTok pretends Trump saved it 🙄

I’ve seen Trump attack Newsom, I’ve seen him spread disinformation, I’ve seen him blame Biden & I’ve seen lie about the state’s emergency response to the crisis, but has he extended any condolences? Has he expressed any worry or concern? Promised a helping hand?

Did I miss that?

This is why the next administration plans to get rid of NOAA. So we don’t know how broken things are and we don’t demand change. #sick

"Repeat after me: there was no 'landslide'. There was no 'blowout'. There was no 'sweeping' mandate given to Trump by the electorate. The numbers don’t lie."

My new Guardian op-ed on the new GOP election lie - and why it's important to rebut it! I brought (lots of) receipts:
Donald Trump didn’t win by a historic landslide. It’s time to nip that lie in the bud | Mehdi Hasan
In 2024, we have a new post-election lie – Trump didn’t just win, Republicans say, but he won big. He won a landslide. That’s false

How much more is the Federal Government doing now than then? Maybe not as much “government waste” as people are led to believe.
The usual suspects are out there yelling "There are 23 million government workers! Fire most of them!" No awareness that most work for local governments, and most of *them* are schoolteachers. Federal employment hasn't grown since the 1950s

Not sure whether the Elon/Vivek "DOGE" frolic is going to raise more Anti-Deficiency Act issues (by doing stuff) or Federal Advisory Committee Act issues (by proposing stuff).

But it'll sure be a litigation bonanza, either way...
