@nytimes.com Your journalists should be far more skeptical of big tech marketing. Any claim that the current prominent models (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) are unbiased should be scrutinized with far more depth than they are. After all, those models are in far wider use.

I will say, that I’ve been getting those kinds of emails since c. 2009! Long before genAI was on the scene. Back then, I assumed that someone was actually writing the copy!

Landlords can just run out the clock on tenants often if the tenants and the landlord are at odds—they just don’t file lease and then go “renovate” the apartment again after the tenants are gone.

If politics weren’t so abysmally vapid, there would be larger discussions around how landlords basically have no consequences for these shenanigans because of how the rules work for evaluating stabilization claims and getting rent paid back through the nyshcr.

Beyond that, I’ve also had landlords try to trick me into signing destabilized leases after signing a stabilized lease.
