View from my sister’s house above Scott Mills. The brown and clearcut areas are from the 2020 fires. The family was evacuated for almost two weeks.

I’m three years older than Carol O’ Conner was when All in the Family *ended* in 1979.

11/22/63 was supposed to be Mom and Dad's first date. She: Freshman at Mt. Angel College. He: Grew up in Mt. Angel, attended MAC 62-63 and visited campus after completing US Army basic training. They met earlier in the week and planned to see a movie in Salem.

Leaving the house for our first La Bohème. Another @portlandopera.bsky.social season begins. I can’t think of the last time I wore a tie. It might have been to opera last year.

I can’t imagine living in a city where these aren’t the norm.

How I’m feeling about mediation with The City.

This is all I have to say about this…For now.

50 years later, she's still a hero to us all. 🇺🇸 #WonderWoman

Tara and I are spending the holidays in London with her family. It’s a mile between the house to the stadium. I’ll be very disappointed if Santa doesn’t take the time to get this for me. #coyi

NY Times Pitchbot is great. It’s what inspired my post. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Tomorrow’s headline, probably: “Dick Cheney was Practicing Torture the Right Way" by Ezra Klein.

Cos’, why not? (left). It’s only 70ish miles from here. (right).

Tara went to Zion National Park in the mid-90s and has wanted to return since. My Mom, Dad and others say it’s their favorite NP. I’ve never been…Until today. Believe the hype. Pictures don’t, can’t capture the beauty, colors and scale. So, these may be the only shots I share here.

Good morning from the Governor Victor Atiyeh International Concourse! Not-so-good governor. Great guy. There was a time when Oregon Republicans weren’t dicks. There are reasons why he’s the last R elected governor. That was 43 years ago. 1/

It *should* not be newsworthy that the position of a major political party is that people in a country legally can stay. I gotta give the Tories credit, though. This is not the position of Republicans.

@axios.com Portland had this in today’s email. Well, the Italian renaissance I crave is the return of church fundraising spaghetti dinners. Friends and I went to St. Philip Neri, St. Ignatius, St. Charles, St. Rita and Ascension parishes in the aughts and teens. 1/
