The tan guy snuggling gizmo was a Chihuahua/Rottie/Staffie. Confirmed by Wisdom Panel last year. He sadly passed away a few months ago, just after him and Gizmo were really getting to be buds.

I went to grad school at the University of Oregon. I moved here for school. I was teaching my first undergrad lab seminar on Halloween and complimented a student's costume, only to have her tell me, "I am NOT wearing a costume." I thought she was dressed as a fairy. I never mentioned costumes again.

We have a federal building and an ICE field office down here, but as far as I know we do not have a detention facility. I do not know where people are taken from here.

Definitely agree that bags don't need batteries. But I guess at least if it's in cabin, you have a chance at containment. I saw a plane diverted the other day bc someone dropped a phone or laptop into the crack in the floor and it went into the cargo hold.

You are not allowed to check lithium ion battery smart luggage. And pre flight announcements have started telling passengers to notify flight crew right away if phone or laptop batteries start overheating.

During COVID, I noticed my kids developed some real weird habits that I knew would go away once they were back around their friends to be told, "hey man, that's really weird, why are you doing that?" And billionaire CEOs don't have that.
