Went along today. Must have been a dud weekend; next to no indoor plants for sale, and the cafe was a bit of a mess with tables cluttered from previous patrons...

Boxted was just after or before the colchester siege. Same war, different venue.

The permission I have was the camping area for Cronwell's troops, so I hopefully will be lucky soon...

I've been detectoring for a couple of years. Have found a few items from the Seige of Boxted (1648) I causing some pistol shot, and what appears to be broken horse brass. Still waiting on something like this, stunning piece.
