When Covid took away all my photography assignments, I started making portraits with the one person I could photograph, my wife. Ended up with 67 of them and a book Wife During Quarantine.

I will be giving a keynote at both Blue Team Con and WWHF about lessons I have learned in a decade of mentoring job seekers and career changers in cybersecurity, but here is one tip for free right now - never give greatly more to a company than they generally return to you.

I love watching someone excitedly geek out about something I do not know much/anything about.

It is a great opportunity to expand my world.

What is something you geek out about (in public or private) that you don't think most people know (about you AND/OR the subject)?

Hey SkyFriends, yesterday was something, wasn't it? Sure wasn't how I expected the day to go.

The Bluesky team has taken me up on my offer to help highlight accessibility issues, and I'm looking forward to sharing my experience.

SPACE FACTS: DAY 13/365🧪

Exoplanets are planets outside the solar system, and since we first started detecting them in 1992, we’ve discovered they are super common. Like at least one per star on average! (Still unclear exactly what fraction of stars have exoplanets.)

Happy Memorial day, especially to those who know how Memorial Day started.

Far right officials in multiple states think that knowing how Memorial Day started would somehow make people like their country less. I think these officials trying to erase history are making people like their country less.

Skeeting into the skyline in hopes someone has experience with this. I’ve got a 2015 MBP pro and have a replacement battery and SSD (it’s the right type) but I’m super uncertain about the process for changing it.
Anyone out here have tips on how to go about it particularly for the SSD?
