He stood there on Jan 20 and falsely mouthed the words to protect and defend our Constitution.

Asked now on Meet the Press if he thinks he needs to uphold the Constitution, he says, “I don’t know.”

Translation: No.

Woe to America and the utter failure of putting this man back in our Oval Office.

I'm blocking these people on sight now.

Doomerist defeatism isn't helping anyone here. Log off and touch grass.

Here’s the reality: Labour will never out-Farage Nigel Farage

No matter how hard they try, their immigration policy will never satisfy the far-right & Europe has shown us the danger: when centre-left parties adopt far-right talking points, they don’t win over voters — they embolden their opponents
Labour cannot 'out-Farage' Reform UK — and shouldn't even try
Labour's rightward shift to counter the threat of Nigel Farage's Reform is doomed to fail and will only hasten voter exodus in years to come, says Taj Ali.

Experts question whether Edward Coristine, a DOGE staffer who has gone by “Big Balls” online, would pass the background check typically required for access to sensitive US government systems.

This supposedly complimentary story about one of Musk's greasy goons embodies one of the core problems of DOGE: they were so incompetent they didn't do basic version control or backups, and so lost all their work.

Such people are unfit to be anywhere near critical government infrastructure.
Their response to "he's violating the Constitution" is really "but bro is so sick at coding."

US rule of law in shambles. Tech ideology is really that kind of caricature of itself.

I'm sorry, but "they took over the whole federal payments system, fired the career staff, and won't let anybody see what they're doing" is not a situation in which you wait for more information. It's a situation in which you assume the worst. There's no explanation for it other than rampant crimes.

I worry that politicians often appear to not understand the nuts & bolts of CU v SM & what each achieves (or doesn’t do).

This is likely to result in onward confusion in the minds of citizens & disappointment, even tho’ some improvement is achieved, when red tape still creates post Brexit barriers
Frustrating watching @eddavey.libdems.org.uk on #bbclaurak. Neither he nor Kuenssberg understand what a customs union is. It's nowt to do with EU regulations. That's the single market. And Kuenssberg can't grasp that a CU between 2 countries with different growth rates will increase growth for both.

I mean Ed makes a good point about the fact that we have to abide by EU regulations anyway even though we now have no say in them, but that's an argument for rejoining the SM, not an argument for joining a CU. (Obviously we'd join both if we had any sense.)
