It’s been a momentous year. My wife’s brilliance was rewarded in a dean position. My kids are all doing well in school and life. CPRIT and NIH chose to fund my research. This however may be the highlight:

ACCP through CHEST was very early and loud with statements espousing diversity in pulmonary medicine. A bit of inside baseball but one of the biggest debates in recent years has been on moving beyond race-based algorithms in measuring pulmonary function.
1. This is so poorly written that the sentence that is -- I think -- supposed to convey a semi-veiled legal threat is incomprehensible.

2. I'm jealous of whichever lawyer gets to write the response.
