I reckon it was taken close to the junction between O'Connell St and Cecil St looking up towards The Crescent.
Have also convinced myself I can make out 'The Brazen Head' sign next door to Patrick O'Grady.

Many of us have forgotten that, as children, we were on The Raccoons and the rabbits side. Now we lap up carefully fed 'news' stories that blame bats, snails & hedgehogs instead of poor planning, lack of state investment and well, greed.

Well done @hannahdaly.ie
I always go back to The Snail and the Whale by Julia Donaldson

How the snail, so small and frail, with her looping, curling, silvery trail,
Saved the life of the humpback whale.
Then the humpback whale held out his tail and on crawled
snail
after
snail
after
snail.

I once uncovered my mothers clearout treachery on the shelves at a school sale of work and retaliated by buying them all again.
Which reminds me I picked up this Glen Campbell record the same day and I still listen to it. 50p well spent.

If you're talking about the Kasbah it's quiet here yet 🙂

Big crowd in the Warehouse for Mick Foley (?) mind judging by all the cars on Alphonsus St

Delighted to contribute to this piece on road safety by Geraldine Herbert @independent.ie
My condolences to the family of Josie Ribeiro whose lovely smile highlights the heartbreak behind every statistic.

€30 each in case you were wondering.
Or 45,249 of them for the average cost of one fatal RTC (€1,357,489)
At 10m spacing that's 452,490m of road for each fatal crash.
452km x 160 fatal rtc (2024) is 73,000km
Save 160 lives & cover 75% of our entire regional & local road network. Win.
Won't happen.

Hey #Limerick - I'm hearing there's a local music merch fair in The Commercial this coming December 6th.
More details as I get them...

Well put @sadhbhoneill.bsky.social
Those who have no choice but to drive should be arm-in-arm with pedestrian, cycling & public transport advocates when it comes to supporting traffic reduction measures.
When I'm part of traffic I wish everyone in front of me was walking, cycling or on the bus.

I have huge respect for anyone running a business as long but the idea that #Limerick economic saviours are people who won't pay €1/hour to park is crazy.
Free parking = more congestion, more noise, more fumes. No thanks.
It's €1 per hour! €1.
You can pay for 15 minutes on the app for 25c.
25c.

I'm getting very fond of this McCoy Tyner album - 1984s Dimensions

I suppose it depends on @limericklive.bsky.social definition of 'significant' but the additional €42.5k would represent 0.5% of the €8M budget gap called out previously.
In reality, the proposed increase would (at best) make the residential parking permit scheme cost-neutral.

For a summer in Kent back in the 90s this was our song before going out - didn't matter if we were hitting the town or if we just knew work would be crazy busy - that bassline got you psyched.

I need a break from the news. Maybe I should read one of those 1970s science fiction books I picked up a bundle of in SVDP? A bit of escapis...oh.

Lovely coffee.
Still feel like this mind if there's four people in front of me and ten minutes to the train leaving

We do things differently here in #Limerick.
There is an actual Zipper lane (w/signs & road markings) outbound on the Dock Road.
Only most people REFUSE the offer and stay on the left saving up their FURY for those of us that do use it and then merge.
In my defence I don't enjoy sitting in traffic.

Great few days in #Barcelona- fantastic hotel room, great food, history & culture.
Plus many stops for a drink and a snack!
Highlight was seeing Akhnaten by Philip Glass in the stunning Theatre de Liceu Opera House. Unforgettable.
