I'm 75 & still renting with my husband who's 64, so for us it's not about loneliness but about security of tenure. We've been lucky with our rented homes: 11 yrs & 22 yrs, but now we're facing eviction, & the cheaper end of the market has all but collapsed due to landlords fearing the new Bill!

This is so deeply sad. It’s about people in their 60s without a place of their own having to rent. I have a friend in that situation. All our conversations are heartbreaking ones about loneliness and poverty.
