Yeah, that's fair. I guess they also probably pay the tithe on time and probably quite large too, so you don't get officials snooping around.
I guess they've also just gotten pretty lucky about none of the recruits not being a lil genestealy or too chaos culty either

I think it's probably for the "alien" nature of it maybe? It gave off a weird "Wraithbone" Eldar vibe even if it came across really weird

Definitely didn't mean it as a "this sucks" or "this is ruining my CANONNNN" or anything weird like that though, I love it when Warhammer lore is kind of dumb (affectionately)

Oh yeah definitely, I guess I just mean more how there's so many things here that haven't triggered any big reaction from the outside like the Mutant genestealers, the various flavors of cults, van saar, etc etc

The Exicindio were super Fucked up and basically lobotomized Men of Iron, there were 7 left after the Lion dropped 11 of them on a traitor forge world, supposedly they're still around in a vault somewhere in the Invincible Reason, but they're not intelligent anymore and have tiny batteries

Most likely, as a whole though Necromunda lore is also just very strange because of all of the factions present with little external interference.
Sometimes it's hard to properly justify it as a "canon" place in 40k lol

Yeah, I refused to believe that UR-025 was the only remaining Man of Iron, even without the Votann. The galaxy is too large and the Imperium too inept to properly find every one of them, even in their golden days.
I wouldn't even be surprised if these ones joined the Sons willingly either

I'm just a fan of the proper introduction of the Men of Iron into the setting, it was such a cool idea and they always had a little bit of a way back in and I'm glad we started getting some more lore on them, even if it's just implied stuff

Got this from reddit earlier today and it immediately flipped me on them from any issues. I'm a bit sad they aren't closer to the 30k mechs, but the fact the head looks like it's a Man of Iron one (see Votann and UR-025) has me really curious on the lore for them even more now.
