The energy source of the future?

Natural (white) hydrogen seems to be the cheapest form of hydrogen.

Why do we still rely on other forms of hydrogen?

OVER 80% RENEWABLE

Germany is winning its fight against climate change?!

Germany's electricity grid is moving fast towards a carbon-free electricity grid.

However, are the good results in summer enough?

Renewable energy ATTRACTS new industry and won't take manufacturing jobs away.

South Australia's electricity grid will achieve 100% renewable electricity in the coming years.

This has led to MORE industry in the area.

Want a real boost to manufacturing jobs? Go green

Nuclear is back on the table in Europe, but Germany wants out. Meanwhile, the US brags about being the world’s top nuclear power producer. Is nuclear the real path to energy security, or just another political football? #NuclearDebate #energysky

Renewable energy should never be pitched as a way of saving the environment.

The sad reality is that people just don't care.

Renewable energy, like any technology to mitigate climate change, should be pitched as a way to make money. And this pitch works!

1/2 From @rachelmetea.bsky.social. The Texas legislature listened to their constituents (see 2/2) and decided to pass on 3 bills that would have slowed the Texas solar industries' record progress. 🔌💡

Anti-solar bills die in Texas House
Legislation that would "kill renewable energy in Texas" failed to progress in the state's House of Representatives.

Germany's energy transition is ...

... working?

On Saturday over 70% of the country's electricity mix came from renewable sources. It seems like the massive investments into renewables is starting to pay off.

Germany is leading the energy transition (at least in the summer).

Poland 🇵🇱 is transitioning away from fossil fuels fast.

Europe's fastest growing economy is also one of Europe's fastest grid decarbonization countries.

#energysky
Good morning with good news: Poland's coal generation fell to new record low of 47.24% of generation. It fell 10 points from 57% in April 2024!

Poland's April Coal Share
2025: 47%
2024: 57%
2023: 63%
2022: 71%
2021: 74%
2015: 84%
#energysky

Surging W&S to ~30% is a main reason why coal is down!

🚀 The #EnergyTransition just hit a new gear! 🚀

Romania has uncovered a NATURAL HYDROGEN reservoir hidden within ancient ophiolite rock formations. 🌍💧

Ophiolite + water = 100% clean hydrogen.

The future just got a lot brighter. ⚡️

Six cents per kWh!

There are just plain not going to be any more fossil fueled electric power plants getting built outside of the countries still being run by fossil fools very soon. 🔌💡

Natural hydrogen is what nuclear fusion has always tried to be: cheap, abundant, and carbon free.

Pay attention to it.

This is Germany's electricity mix last Tuesday. Over 60% comes from renewables. However, 22% still come from coal power plants. I think that it should be the new government's highest priority to replace the coal with renewables or at least with less harmful fossil fuels

Volkswagen is dominating the EV market in Germany. Is this in contrast to the public's perception of the company and it's poor stock performance?

The end of fighting climate change?

Hydrogen-powered vehicles seem useless.

While EVs are taking over the world, cities in the UK seem to regret their purchases of hydrogen buses. The problem? No carbon-free hydrogen fuel is available cheaply.

Millions spent on hydrogen buses left stuck in depots due to lack of fuel
Liverpool and Aberdeen are amongst the cities that have seen dozens of vehicles off the road since last summer due to fueling problems and high maintenance costs

It's interesting to see that percentage wise EU member countries seem to be outperforming other countries regarding solar energy production
Good morning with good news: As global solar capacity surged 30% to ~2.2 TW in 2024, nine nations have enough solar to supply ~20% or more of their electricity!

Solar can generate 10% of electricity in 25 nations.

Greece leads, with PV penetration of 27.9%!
